VAPO Kanthal A1 Wire

VAPO's very own wire is now here and is sure to impress. Every spool of wire is precision wound with hands off computerised machines and treated with loads of care in a clean environment. No more tangles, oil and other debris or contaminates. Kanthal A1 is a ferritic iron-chromium-aluminum alloy. Kanthal A1 in particular has high resistivity and excellent oxidation resistance.

• Kanthal A-1 (22% Cr, 5.8% Al, Fe balance)
• Rated for temperatures up to 1400�C (2550�F)
• Excellent Oxidation Resistance
• Melting Temperature: 1500�C (2732�F)
• Tensile Strength: 680 n/mm_
• Magnetic properties: Magnetic up to approximately 600�C (Curie point).
• Emissivity - fully oxidised material - 0.70
